Adonis Paper Micarta Chopsticks

230,00 / Sold Out

Elevate your dinning experience with these noble eating utensils. These chopsticks were carved from a single piece of vintage caramel paper micarta. They taper from a top rectangular octogonal shape down to a square octogone and then to a thin round tip. This set comes with a minimalist polished micarta chopstick rest, carved from the same piece of material as the chopsticks.

Micarta is a composite material made by laminating fibrous materials such as canvas, paper, linen, carbon fibre or fiberglass with a hardening resin, applying pressure and heat while the resin is curing. The material was first developed in 1910, and for decades after to be used in diverse parts of the industrial complex. The material used for these chopsticks is rare because it is old stock micarta, possibly produced in the 1960’s. It has a unique hue that doesn’t exist in modern micarta. Over time, the clear facets will oxidize and take on a more homogenous deep brown/burgundy color.

Each chopstick is meticulously laser engraved at its top with a discreet Adonis round logo.

Protect your chopsticks by storing them in their high quality leather case until the next occasion. You can also dress your table with the chopsticks still in their case, and let your guest discover them when it is time to eat.

Price is for one pair of chopsticks, one chopstick rest, and one leather case.
